I've been a hardcore gamer since the age of five. Before that, I was more into the casual scene. My first console was the SNES. It's my favorite, and I feel like that is reflected in my work.

I submitted Coping to NG a few days ago. I had made it back in February, but it needed some polish that I only just now got around to doing.
When I made Coping, I wasn't in the best of headspaces. I'm pretty sure that it shows when someone plays it. The response that I've received has been pretty overwhelming, most people who take the time to review give it 5 stars and tell me that it touched them on a very personal level. That's a pretty intense thing to hear when you've only been making games for about a year and have never had much creative ability. It seems like game dev may really be my creative niche.
A few reviewers have said that they look forward to my next game or hope that I continue making games. I plan to do that, of course. Right now I have made ~8 games of varying quality levels, and ideally I'd like to get them all to the point where they could be uploaded + get some decent reviews. I don't know where I should be devoting more of my efforts, but I feel like polishing these old games nets more reward in less time w/ less work.
Having said that, I do have some projects that I am working on. One of them is Ultimate Pong Coach, which I've been working on since last October. Gee, that's almost a year now ^_^; of course I haven't been constantly working on it, but a lot more work has gone into it than any of my other stuff. I also have an animal-hoarding themed puzzle game in the works.
I'm reading a book on game design, and I'd like to finish it before I do any more new stuff. Hopefully it will improve my skills, or whatever.
I wonder if/when anyone else is going to read this.
